(The following is posted openly in the Caladore tavern.)
The farming hovel of Vintnersburg has taken ill with some sort of disease that is causing it’s residents to sleep in the daytime and become enraged at the sight of blood. Only the foreman seems to have control of his wits...and he seeks others to join...err help find a cure to the sickness…
The Hydromancer has returned!!! Last seen in the fall of 615, it appears that he has yet again discovered a way to meld a foreign element with that of water amidst the deluge that has fallen upon Caladore this market faire. Lead by the Hydromancer himself, mudmen of great agility and dexterity have taken control of a well nearby to Old Towne, causing the water supply to be tainted. The Baron’s Master of Coin is paying for the well to be cleared up.
A flash flood has caused a significant portion of the Dragonspine mountains region north of Caladore to erode, revealing some ancient ruins. The ruins appear to be human in nature and there are some large spiders and worms crawling amongst them. The Wayfarer’s Guild archaeologist is paying well for the ruins to be explored.
The potato and wheatfields to the west of the Baron’s Keep have been overrun with Water Elementals that are causing an enormous amount of flooding and the foodstuffs are being wasted. The Baron’s Master of Coin is paying well for the situation to be resolved.
A contingent of Benjamin Beaver’s Bombarding Brethren have taken advantage of the overflooding in the southeastern valley. Several of the young treants who have begun to slumber for the winter have been accosted by the beavers and are tumbling into the floodwaters as they begin to build a dam. The beavers must be stopped whether it be by blade or words.
The local tracker of a nearby hovel has reported finding an enormous amount of disemboweled animal carcasses spread around the woods in a very odd fashion, as if someone was preparing for a formal magic ritual with them. The villagers are paying for some adventurers to investigate as they no longer feel safe…
