Hey so a question about this call that I've seen a couple times now. Culloden's baby and the "Eater of Spirits" both took a KB (more than one in the latter case), got up and made a call about damage caps. I know they need to be killed more, but I don't know what I'm supposed to understand about the call in game. I think it was Damage Cap 500...? Thanks

What that means.. Is the creature was so resilient it took 500 dagger blows of damage from the killing blow, damage cap means it took as much danage from a single blow as it can. It probably had several thousand body by the sound of it.

Got it, so the kb does still trigger a vengeance (based on the Eater of Spirits), it did the amount of damage in the call but clearly it still has more hitpoints left. Noted.
Thanks!

This is weird in a couple of ways. It is cool that Kzoo does these alternate effects and I do like it, but a call like "alternate effect, appears to harm me" would be better than damage cap. Killing blow does not do damage, it just alters your state to dead.
As an aside, I am not sure in the previous situation why he was able to killing blow the creature but how do they get out of the other effects like web, confine, vertigo, sleep, etc...? If the killing blow does not work then they never went to the dead state and those other effects should still be active?
Last, I hope when these happen that the NPC takes a moment to roleplay taking 500 pt of damage. I would kinda expect them to be staggered for a second or two and not just jump all over me the second the killing blow is done. I do not know what happened so I will assume the NPC did roleplay it well.

In each situation I've seen there's been roleplay involved. The Eater of Spirits would go inert, as if it was bleeding out, and would take killing blows as a large amount of damage, trigger a vengeance with each and then rise back up after a period of time. It was a really cool prop on top of all that! The ant was imprisoned and the KB dropped the imprison so the ant was free. Now that I know the meaning of the call, I'm good
