*** IBGA REMINDER/EXPLANATION ***
If you haven't sent in your IBGA(s) yet then make sure to! The submission address is "plot@nerokzoo.com".
IBGAs must be in no later than the Monday before the event!
Everyone gets one general IBGA and an additional IBGA as long as they have at least one Craftsman/Other skill. This additional CO must relate to at least one of the CO skills, but they may be combined. However, regardless of how many additional COs are purchased, only one additional IBGA will be awarded UNLESS any of the COs happen to be master level or higher. If a character has a master level or higher CO, then that will also denote an additional IBGA that must be directly related to that CO.
Here's an example.
Billy Bob the Baker & Brewer : Billy Bob has Craftsman/Other Brewer x10 (master level) and Craftsman/Other Baker x1. Billy Bob may submit a general IBGA about anything, a secondary IBGA related to baking and / OR brewing (because those are his COs regardless of level), and a third IBGA related only to Brewing because he happens to be a master in it.
IBGAs may be combined to represent devoting more time & energy to one activity, as long as the CO skills used have a logical connection.
There is no maximum. If one has five master level or higher CO skills, then one receives five IBGAs for those as well as the initial two.
If you're curious what an IBGA is or how it works...it stands for "In Between Game Action" and is designed to be complimentary to your live action experience. IBGAs are meant to allow players to do things in between events that ideally lead to content at the upcoming event or at some point in game.
Here are a few examples...
General IBGA : My character is going to local taverns inquiring about any news or rumors in the area as of late.
General IBGA : My character is going to the adventuring district in town to see if there is any work available in a mercenary or escort capacity.
CO Scout IBGA : My character is scouting the woods around Caladore looking for any evidence of green skin activity.
CO Undead Lore IBGA : My character is spending time studying the master liche's ashes that he collected in a cave last market
day to learn more about this particular liche.
CO Researcher IBGA : My character is looking for a local library in order to research the history of the Starbinder family of nobility in Dragonreach.
Understand that if one has more levels of a particular CO skill, then more information is likely to be gleaned from that CO's IBGA. A master scout is going to find more than a novice, etc.
From your plot team's standpoint, IBGAs allow us to see what direction you'd like to go with your character either in the short term, long term, or both! Also, the response you receive will likely lead to content at the upcoming event in some fashion. I know plenty of players that garner module opportunities as a result of their IBGAs. It's really a great way to deepen your live action experience!
*** TWO IMPORTANT NOTES
1) IBGAs are meant to be opened ended. "I find a dragon, kill him, and take his loot," is not an IBGA. "My character is trying to determine if there has been any draconic activity in the area lately because he is trying to find a blue dragon," is an IBGA.
2) Communication or "missives" do not have to be IBGAs when your character is communicating with someone that he or she would logically have access to. IE : If you're sending a missive via falcon to the Baron then just shoot an email to plot@nerokzoo.com. If you're trying to find contact with someone you don't know how to find though, that could be an IBGA. Please understand that this doesn't mean your communication emails will necessary turn into long drawn out conversations via email. We just don't want you all to feel that you need to use your allotted IBGAs just to send a missive to someone you'd have access to.
Obviously be patient with your plot team in terms of rate of response as well .
Let us know if you have any questions!
